Axl, a southern California native, has had the privilege to travel around the globe since he was young. His parents, themselves immigrants from India, encouraged Axl to experience and appreciate what life was like around the world. His travels have led him throughout the US, India, Canada, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Being exposed to different people, cultures, and music from around the world has had an everlasting impact on him.
After graduating from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. in business administration, Axl started his career in the banking industry with an eagerness to learn and help people. Soon after, he transitioned to an advisor role in the finance industry, which gave him a deep understanding of the client experience. After enjoying being in the advisory industry for a few years, he transitioned to the operational and administrative side of wealth management. By working with clients behind the scenes, he was once again able to develop deeper relationships with people and have a direct impact. At Longwave, Axl is a client service associate, using his knowledge and skills to enhance and support the operations side of the client relationship. Axl lives on the West Coast, expanding our team’s geographic footprint and he maintains East Coast hours while being able to see palm trees from his window.
Besides his enthusiasm for strengthening people's financial health, Axl has a deep passion for sharing and connecting with others through his art. A common thread he found in global music was the use of drums and percussion. He quickly gravitated towards playing drums and grew passionate about performing music on stage. The thrill of performing has allowed Axl to play with a variety of musical projects throughout his life and has even led to dabbling in the art of standup comedy. In his free time, he continues to create music with friends and perform around Southern California. He also has a passion for cooking and sharing stories over a good meal. Axl’s approach to life is to enjoy each moment and connect with people anyway he can.
