Nathan was born in Riga, Latvia and immigrated to the US with his family at the age of five. The journey took 3 months and was a leap of faith that a better life was possible. For Nathan, the America Dream is no cliché. Everyone should have the chance to see their hard work lead to success and security.
Today, as President of Longwave Financial, Nathan is dedicated to clients realizing their own dreams. Based on his own family’s journey, Nathan built Longwave around three “do the right thing” principals: independent investment advice, a fiduciary commitment to clients and comprehensive financial planning.
Throughout his 16 year career as a Financial Advisor, Nathan has maintained a focus on financial planning. Nathan encourages all clients to start their financial journey with a plan that envisions their path forward. Whatever it takes – collaborating, coaching, motivating, educating – Nathan helps clients stay on that path year in and year out.
Another gift of being an immigrant is appreciating the diversity of Longwave’s many clients. Nathan is committed to making Longwave a welcoming place for people of all backgrounds and lifestyles.
Prior to starting Longwave Financial, Nathan spent 10 years at Ameriprise Financial where he was one of the youngest advisors to achieve their highest level of recognition – Private Wealth Advisor. Nathan holds the CRPC® designation, awarded by the College for Financial Planning and is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designee.
Nathan also holds a BA in Philosophy from Queens College and is currently a student at the Renzo Gracie Muay Thai Academy; he also enjoys landscaping and book collecting. Nathan is active as a leader at his Synagogue, with the Polycystic Kidney Foundation and with his 3 young boys who are themselves quite active. His great love is his wife Meg with whom he enjoys burning up the dance floor.
